"HOPPY ART LAND CALENDAR started last year. Each month, a featured artist from all over the world created an illustration made from his/her inspirational perspective of HOPPY. The artist this month is Ilustrata Design, a design and illustration studio based in Brazil. They call themselves “lovers of Japanese culture, retro visual." Their hand illustrations with computerized final touches are vivid and strong. Also, their color theory is very nostalgic—tinted, faded and sepia. Look at this awesome artwork portraying, “HOP Kaiju (strange beast),” and a robot drinking together in Tokyo-Isa town. Kaiju represents retro Japanese culture, and the robot—cutting age technology. Together, it’s an image of Tokyo as a city of the past and the future!"
Special thanks to Fuko from 3DMNY and Hoppy for the opportunity
